For the past several decades, the majority of Americans have watched the loud fringes take over our political parties, silence the majority of Americans who love and respect one another regardless of politics. If our voices are divided, then only the loudest are heard and it is those same loud voices who seek to divide us to that theirs is the only voice heard.
The goal of this site is to provide a place where we can find the middle ground where the majority of Americans can agree without the rhetoric of political pundits. We hope that you will share constructive ideas to form a platform for middle America knowing we won't all agree, but we can learn from various viewpoints so that we can find the compromise that has gone missing from our political leaders. We all realize that on some topics, we will simply disagree, but we may find certain aspects where we can find common ground or at least expand each other's understanding always remembering that the goal is not to win an argument nor convince other's to see the world from your perspective, although both will happen, but it is always to share ideas from all perspectives in order to find areas where we can agree to find that middle ground.
We can discuss any topics from global warming to monetary policies, interactions with foreign governments, the national debt, abortion, the FDA and many more. We encourage you to share your thoughts on the topics below and to email us on new topics.
The rules are simple:
Understanding can only be achieved through civility. Share what you believe with respectfulness to all. Share why you believe what you do so that others understand your point of view. Agree, disagree, offer policy suggestions, share why you feel the way you do or why certain policies should be adopted.
Topics and responses should be directed at policies only. No political party discussions are allowed. No news rehashing. No candidates or representatives. This is not about politics. This is about all of us putting aside divisive politics so Americans meeting in the middle and can learn from one another and find points of agreement. If Middle America finds a way to agree, our elected officials will follow suit and our society as a whole will benefit from our willingness to come together on common ground. Please join us!
Your generous donation will keep this site going and fund our mission to help Americans find the middle ground we desperately need. We will not support any one political party, but will inform ALL parties as to the common ground of Middle America.
